First Form
1. A few days ago was internationally recognized as Mental Day, how have you been taking care of yourself since the start of fifth form mentally?
Not so good. I have not been doing stuff I should be doing to take care of myself.
2. It’s your first time entering the gates of a public high school. Do you think that you have adjusted to the new environment despite the effects of COVID-19?
I have adjusted pretty well, gotten to know the environment a bit better.
3. How do you feel now that you are doing fourteen (14) subjects instead of four?
I did expect it so I have no particular feelings regarding it.
4. Mid-term assessments have begun; do you believe that you are sufficiently prepared for the upcoming exams?
No, I do not think so.
5. How did you utilize the mid-term break to sufficiently prepare for your exams?
I did nothing.
6. Do you have any advice for other students who might dislike studying or struggle to study any subject in general?
I think you should try studying in a way that would be fun for you. For me, I listen to music and my mind just goes with it.
Third Form
1. A few days ago was internationally recognized as Mental Day, how have you been taking care of yourself since the start of third form mentally?
Good. I stuck with my brothers (friends) and stopped communicating with others.
2. Third form is a pivotal year for you as this year you are expected to choose nine (9) CSEC subjects while also deciding on your field of study for the future. How
do you feel about this decision?
I think it fair as I am the one who will make this decision; it will be something I want to do and not something I have no interest in. I am confident I will make the right
decision.
3. Mid-term assessments have begun; do you believe that you are sufficiently
prepared for the upcoming exams?
I did not study but I believe I am prepared for my exams.
4. How did you utilize the mid-term break to sufficiently prepare for your exams?
I did nothing regarding exams; however, I did play a little football.
5. Do you have any advice for other students who might dislike studying or struggle to study any subject in general?
Just like how we easily memorize the lyrics of songs, we can make our own little
songs to help us study.
Fifth Form
1. You are now on the last lap of the CSEC marathon, how has the transition been for
you from fourth form to fifth form?
To be honest, it has been a ‘rocky’ transition; it was challenging to cope in the
beginning.
2. What profession have you decided to pursue in the future and your current subjects
that you plan to sit next year?
My career path is currently undecided ad I am still trying to figure out what I want to do
in life. I will be sitting Physical Education, Religious Education, Social Studies,
Agricultural Science, Information Technology, English Language, English Literature and
Mathematics.
3. A few days ago was internationally recognized as Mental Day, how have you been
taking care of yourself since the start of fifth form mentally?
I don’t know, but I am trying to take things one day at a time.
4. Mid-term assessments have begun; do you believe that you are sufficiently prepared
for the upcoming exams?
No, I spent more time focusing on my mental health.
5. How did you utilize the mid-term break to sufficiently prepare for your exams?
Well… I needed a break ‘mentally’ so I did activities I enjoyed, for example singing and
drawing.
6. Do you have any advice for other students who might dislike studying or struggle to
study any subject in general?
I would recommend taking breaks while studying. Studying for a long time without breaks
leaves you tired and at a loss.
